THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST – 29 Jul 22

Friday 29th July – 7.30pm

From the creators of The HandleBards: the entirety of Oscar Wilde’s classic play of manners, affairs and handbags being performed by just two rather dashing entertainers. The Slapstick Picnic would like to cordially invite you to its inaugural summer tea party, where marvellous feats of performance and culinary capers await. Over tea and cucumber sandwiches, we ask that you prepare to witness the impossible – the entirety of Oscar Wilde’s classic play of manners, affairs and handbags being performed by just two rather dashing entertainers.

Yeo Valley have kindly offered for ticket holders to wander around the fabulous organic gardens before the show from 6pm, they have also given us special permission to allow picnics into the garden for this event.  So pack yourselves some sandwiches, buy yourself a ticket and join us for this very special evening!

We are running a bar, so we ask that you buy drinks from us; the profits go towards the cost of the event and allows us to continue bringing fabulous performing arts to the Chew Valley. Please bring your own glasses or drinks receptacles, as all drinks will be sold in cans or bottles.

Picnics should only be eaten in the Ha Ha garden, where the performance is being held and please take all rubbish with you.

Please remember to bring a folding garden/picnic chair or a picnic blanket.
