Your Performers
Jenny McNamara
Having dabbled with the guitar for years, lockdown and the encouragement of friends gave me the confidence to learn songs from beginning to end and tentatively start performing in public.
I have now started writing and singing my own songs, influenced by Kirsty MacColl, Kate Bush, Suzanne Vega and The Beatles.
Tidy Venkman Quartet
The Tidy Venkman Quartet can dangerously veer from catchy post-punk-pop, to baroque Goth and deep dub reggae, sometimes in the course of one song! So the main issue will be refining their audacious, eclectic and ambitious songs into a tight and representative twenty minutes of pure listening pleasure!… those pesky Venkmans have a LOT of material.
Millena and the Misfits
Millena and the Misfits are a British-Bulgarian, Greek and Cornish Acoustic folk pop trio, with a percussion twist. Despite meeting at a village fete in their collective current home, the Chew Valley, and coming from diverse musical backgrounds; together, they create something vibrant and wonderful. They fuse Millena’s rich and captivating vocals, Grecian style classic Guitar with charismatic conga rhythms. Bouncy, sexy and dressed to impress, their acoustic sounds are guaranteed to get you ready to groove.
Chris G Sullivan
Having supported WILDES, Firewoodisland and Jono Mccleery, among others, Chris’ distinctive vocals soar through his solo and full band performances, being described as “special” and having “a beautiful and natural vibrato” (Ian Gillan, Deep Purple).
He’s currently working on his debut EP with MPG Awards Breakthrough Producer Of The Year Nominee producer Elliot Vaughn (Frank Turner, [spunge], Hectares, Masca, Sonic Boom Six), due to be released early next year.”
Otherverse
Otherverse was formed in 2022 by a group of 4 boys attending Chew Valley School. Band members are Maximus on guitar and vocals, Rupert on bass guitar, Teddy on drums and Alfie on lead guitar. They cover a range of songs from indie-rock to brit-pop, and also write and perform their own original material. Past successes include being selected as a finalist in the national Young Songwriter competition. They are currently all aged 13 or 14 and all hope to have careers in the music industry. Watch this space and see them now so you can say you saw them before they became famous!
