RESCHEDULED DUE TO PERFORMER ILLNESS

Looking for Me Friend:

The Music of Victoria Wood

Friday 7th Febuary – 7.30pm

Saturday 9th November – 7.30pm

Chew Stoke Village Hall, Chew Stoke

An Homage to the Late, Great Victoria Wood

An “unmissable” show (Everything Theatre) has served up nostalgia, music and laughter at Edinburgh Fringe, sold out venues across the UK and had the seal of approval from Victoria’s colleagues, school-chums and fans. Written and performed by star of BBC1’s All Together Now Paulus, LOOKING FOR ME FRIEND is a funny and touching musical tribute to a much-loved and sorely missed national treasure.

This show is for those who loved Vic; those who speak her language; those who perhaps don’t quite “fit” life’s traditional boxes and for those who simply want to relish her breathtaking wizardry with words.

In telling Victoria’s story, Paulus unfolds his own: a relatable story of a 1970s childhood, a life upon which Victoria made a huge impact, and what it really means to find your tribe.

Take a whistle-stop tour of some of Victoria’s best-loved songs, including the iconic ‘Ballad of Barry & Freda’ (Let’s Do It) and the classic ‘It Would Never Have Worked’. So, dust off your stilettos and your oven glove, and don’t forget the custard creams!
