Calling all artists, photographers, poets, musicians,

dancers, actors and creative people across the Chew Valley.

Valley Arts is putting together a showcase of local talent for our Lockdown Liberation event which will be streamed online the first week in July and introduced by Glastonbury Festival’s Michael Eavis.
We are celebrating how creativity, on any level, has helped people in our community stay positive during isolation and we need your help to create the content.

When it’s all got too much, have you sung your heart out, taken a moment of reflection to write a poem, learnt a new piece on the piano or quietly spent the afternoon painting the view from your window?  Have you dusted off your old camera and captured local nature, written funny stories with the kids or got silly creating new TikTok dance videos?  Whatever art form you have turned to for your mental well-being, we want to see, hear and share your creations.

We know there are a huge number of talented people within our community and, whether you’re an experienced artist or having a go for the first time, we want to hear from you. Send us your submissions by Monday 15th June to be included in the programe.

If you are looking for some inspiration, have a look at our Lockdown Gallery.

  • Please keep content between 30 seconds and 4 minutes and understand we may need to edit/shorten your files when editing the programme.
