The award-winning cameraman Doug Allan comes to Chew Valley School on 9 November 2018 with more of his adventures, encounters and insights.

Doug has filmed whales in Antarctica, off coral reefs, among the giant kelp in California and under the Arctic pack ice. Finding them depends on co-operation with scientists, skilled boat handlers on location, a special patience, and even a healthy dose of luck. Doug describes his most memorable moments with the biggest animals on the planet, when he’s witnessed some remarkable insights into their behaviour and intelligence. We know we can talk to dogs or horses, can you also whisper to a whale?

With Doug’s behind the scenes stories, and his stunning pictures that appeal to all ages, this will be a great show for all the family.
